About us
The mission of The Bridge Advocacy & Counseling is to train and support the professional growth of Pre-licensed psychotherapists while providing culturally respectful, individualized care for couples, families, and individuals who are struggling personally, relationally, professionally, academically, or spiritually.
The Bridge Advocacy & Counseling is a community mental health care organization. We are focused on providing competent, culturally relevant, person-centered treatment for people seeking help with mental health concerns, relationship challenges, identity issues, and other disruptions in their lives.
The Bridge Advocacy & Counseling is designed to serve underserved communities. By that, we mean communities that have a lack of access or limited access to psychological services. We work from a trauma-informed, attachment-focused perspective. We are a non-profit organization and a low-cost care option.
At The Bridge Advocacy & Counseling, we believe that access to mental health care is essential and should be available to everyone. We propose a program of care that is housed within the community at various locations such as churches, schools, fitness centers, pharmacies, and shelters. We’ve designed our services to align with the CDC’s Social-Ecological Model.
The CDC’s Social-Ecological Model SEM aims to prevent community violence by addressing the factors that influence violence.
The Bridge Advocacy & Counseling uses this model to address society's mental health needs and concerns by taking a holistic approach to care. The complex interplay between individual, relationship, community, and societal factors must be considered as we endeavor to help people improve their lives in ways that are meaningful to them.
